Position: LNG Plant Manager

The Opportunity:
The LNG Plant Manager position is part of our LNG Operations Team. Reporting to the VP, Operations, the LNG Plant Manager is directly responsible for overseeing all operations of the plant(s), including managing employees, meeting plant KPI’s, ensuring safe and efficient operations, monitoring and maintenance of the plant. You will work closely with the Cryopeak Team in Richmond BC and Fort Nelson BC to maintain the safe and reliable operations. You will bring a positive energy, a strong skill set and work ethic to support your ability to perform daily tasks. Due to the nature of our operations, flexibility to be on call is required.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for driving safe and efficient operating practices within the LNG Facility
- Responsible for day-to-day management of the plant and team.
- Lead plant improvement projects and planned turn arounds
- Maintain company culture and goals while facilitating a positive workplace based on teamwork.
- Ensuring compliance with rules and regulations surrounding LNG; including all Government and Industry standards.
- Responsible for plant records to ensure compliance with provincial, federal, and Company policies and regulations.
- Controlling plant employee, maintenance and operational schedules.
- Maintain inventory and record of deliveries to the plant.
- Responsible for ensuring plant equipment is maintained and drive troubleshooting to resolve all issues
- Participate in budget development with senior management.
- Manage operations at the plant to achieve all plant objectives
- Responsible for procurement and sparing process for the plant.
- Ability to monitor operating conditions of LNG plant remotely; respond to alarms, recognize operational problems; analyze and adjust process to optimize plant performance.
- Manage timing and work of contracted personnel on site
- Lead and assist in Emergency Response tabletop drills and ERAP activations
- Development of initiatives, strategies and targets around technical operation and service
- This position requires the ability to travel

- Experience in operations-based roles is required
- Experience in the Canadian Oil and Gas Industry an asset
- Technical background with experience in electrical, mechanical, or other technical skill
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings – i.e. PID’s, Electrical drawings etc.
- Experience with LNG and Cryogenic Fluids an asset
- Mechanical skills and aptitude
