The Opportunity: As Cryopeak’ s Project Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and Commissioning Cryopeak LNG Systems along with creating processes to monitor and control these systems. Your key objective will be to ensure that these systems and processes are designed to operate effectively, efficiently, and safely. With focus on engineering and design you will also have a multidisciplinary role within our organization and work closely with other teams to ensure the Company’s objectives are met.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing new LNG equipment and systems
- Managing mechanical, electrical, control and instrumentation design and documentation
- Leading engineering responses in permitting phase of projects
- Ensuring systems and designs comply with applicable regulations and codes
- Detailing specifications for procurement and scope of work for contractors and reviewing & signing off on proposed technical specs
- Conducting various procurement functions when required
- Creating the operation manuals as well as input into commissioning and test plans
- Ensuring systems are efficiently & safety commissioned on customer sites
- Customer support and troubleshooting when LNG equipment and systems are in operation
- Working collaboratively with other team members in Cryopeak and working as part of a team.
- Interact with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers and other internal staff;
- Project management within cost and time constrained environments
Requirements:
- Treats safety and quality as highest priority in the workplace
- A Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training with 3-5 years experience in managing multiple projects preferred
- Experience in an EPCM environment an asset
- Understanding of applicable Canadian Codes and other applicable regulations and standards
- CAD and drafting experience is an asset
- Entrepreneurial spirit, willing to learn within a new Industry
- Self-starter, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to travel to Customer sites if required
- Excellent communication skills- written and verbal
