Cryopeak Energy Solutions is looking for a Field Technician to join our team in Grande Prairie, AB. If you take pride in doing things right, enjoy working with industrial/LNG systems, and are confident operating in remote or field-based environments – we want to hear from you. While prior LNG experience is an asset, we’re willing to train field technicians who are mechanically inclined, safety-minded, and eager to learn.

About the Role:

As a Field Technician based out of Grande Prairie, AB, you’ll play a critical role in the safe and reliable operation of LNG systems. You’ll support equipment setup, field & shop maintenance, truck loading, and general site operations — all while maintaining Cryopeak’s high safety and service standards. The candidate must live in Grand Prairie, AB or be willing to relocate at their own expense.

  • Location: Grande Prairie, AB (local candidates preferred)
  • Shift: 9 days on / 5 days off – 10-hour shifts
  • Employment Type: Full-time, Company Benefits
  • Work Arrangement: Remote field work and base work as well
  • Averaging Agreement: In place under Alberta Employment Standards
Requirements &  Qualifications:
  • What You’ll Need:
    • 3+ years in oil and gas field operations (LNG/basic cryogenic knowledge is an asset)
    • Familiarity with frac/water heating or drilling rig environments
    • Safety mindset
    • Class 1 Driver is considered an asset
      • Clean driving record, off road driving experience
    • Previous field coordination experience is an asset
    • Hours of Service Training (will be provided to successful candidate)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting
    • Experience in 24/7 operations
    • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset
    • Willingness to learn and adapt
    • Required (or willingness to obtain) H2S Alive, First Aid, CSO, GODI
    • Self-motivated and adaptable to changing conditions
    • Strong communication skills and team first attitude
    • Physically fit and comfortable working in all weather conditions
  • What You’ll Do
    • Operate and maintain LNG equipment in the field
    • Support equipment installations, removals, and routine maintenance
    • Assist with LNG truck loading and offloading at remote sites
    • Coordinate with field personnel, service providers, and customers to ensure seamless delivery and operations
    • Train third-party personnel on Cryopeak equipment and enforce safety protocols
    • Complete and submit field documentation and reports accurately and on time
    • Identify and report safety issues, incidents, or operational gaps
    • Follow all policies under Cryopeak’s Quality and Safety Management Systems
    • Respond to on-site concerns or emergencies in coordination with field leadership

Reporting to the Field Services Manager, the Site Technician handles transportation and offloading of LNG loads, while supporting daily operations such as equipment transfers and maintenance at customer sites. This is a rotational Fly-in/Fly-out (FIFO) position with a 15 days on / 13 days off schedule. Meals and lodging are provided while on site.

Candidates must reside in one of the following locations: Prince George, BC| Nanaimo, BC |Kelowna, BC| Whitehorse, YT| Edmonton, AB

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • What You’ll Need:
    • Valid Class 1 Driver’s License (Canada)
    • Safety mindset
    • TDG Certification (Transportation of Dangerous Goods)
    • Strong understanding of commercial transport regulations
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
    • Experience in 24/7 operations (transport industry preferred)
    • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset
    • Willingness to learn and adapt
  • What You’ll Do
    • Drive & Deliver: Operate Class 1 vehicles and safely transport LNG equipment to site
    • Site Support: Install, maintain, repair, and commission LNG systems at customer locations
    • Follow Standards: Uphold Cryopeak SOPs, TDG guidelines, and all safety regulations
    • Coordinate: Work closely with the Transport & Logistics Team to ensure smooth delivery and communication
    • Maintain Equipment: Keep systems up to code and in top working order
    • Train & Troubleshoot: Educate 3rd-party operators and assist with technical issues
    • Track Performance: Monitor service KPIs and help drive continuous improvement
    • Travel Ready: Work rotational site schedules with extended stays (meals and lodging provided)
    • Stay Certified: Maintain all necessary qualifications and training

We’re hiring a Remote Site Technician to support LNG operations at a remote mine site in Saskatchewan. You must be confident driving a company pickup truck and working with mechanical systems. This is a fulltime role.

About the Role:

This is a rotational position with a 15 days on / 13 days off schedule. Meals and lodging are provided while on site.

Candidates must reside in one of the following locations: Northern Saskatchewan, or Manitoba

    • Coordination: Coordinate with field personnel, in house Transportation and Logistics Team, service providers, and customers to ensure seamless site operations
    • Maintain Equipment: Keep systems up to code and in top working order
    • Train & Troubleshoot: Support 3rd-party operators and resolve basic technical issues
    • Track Performance: Monitor service KPI’s, help identify improvement opportunities, report incidents or issues to Management.
    • Travel Ready: Work rotational site schedules with extended stays (meals and lodging provided)
    • Saty Certified: Maintain all necessary qualifications and participate in ongoing training. In-house training is provided, and a TSBC approved Special Purpose Gas Certificate will be issued by the Company.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a results-oriented and strategic leader to serve as the Director, Innovation Technology and Projects at Cryopeak Energy Solutions. This role requires a unique combination of commercial, project management experience, and technical expertise to lead our Innovation, Technology and projects division. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading multi-disciplinary technical and operational teams, defining strategic visions, and executing clear and measurable action plans to achieve corporate objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the CEO, and working closely with the executive team, develop and implement a strategic growth plan for the LNG technologies division, aligning with overall company objectives.
  • Support business development initiatives, fostering relationships with new Customers and Key clients and stakeholders.
  • Direct involvement in overseeing bid preparation, product costing and budgeting for new projects and technology system sales.
  • Supporting commercial activities, identifying initiatives to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Ensuring the Company’s business processes are robust and meet the requirements of our customers’ expectations. Ensuring the project team achieves high-quality standards, manages budgets effectively, support keeping projects on schedule, and managing customer relationships.
  • Managing business processes within the projects team to ensure effective and efficient project outcomes and deliverables are achieved.
  • Manage project portfolios, including conceptual development, EPC execution strategies, and cost optimization.
  • Drive innovation and new product development in LNG technologies and solutions.
  • Support contract negotiation, pricing strategies, and commercial offerings to maximize profitability.
  • Support funding applications and support for technology development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and operational excellence.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a diverse team of professionals.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; MBA preferred, or extensive experience.
  • Proven experience in project management, strategic management, sales leadership, and project execution in the LNG industry or cryogenic technology sector.
  • Strong expertise in contract negotiation, new product development, and operational strategy.
  • Demonstrated success in managing key projects and executing projects on time and on budget.
  • Ability to develop and execute commercial strategies that drive business growth.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a global role within the LNG sector or cryogenic sector.
  • Knowledge of the latest advancements and trends in LNG technology.
  • Prior experience managing multi-million-dollar projects and portfolios.
