Cryopeak Energy Solutions is looking for a Field Technician to join our team in Grande Prairie, AB. If you take pride in doing things right, enjoy working with industrial/LNG systems, and are confident operating in remote or field-based environments – we want to hear from you. While prior LNG experience is an asset, we’re willing to train field technicians who are mechanically inclined, safety-minded, and eager to learn.

 

Role Summary:

As a Field Technician based out of Grande Prairie, AB, you’ll play a critical role in the safe and reliable operation of LNG systems. You’ll support equipment setup, field & shop maintenance, truck loading, and general site operations — all while maintaining Cryopeak’s high safety and service standards. The candidate must live in Grand Prairie, AB or be willing to relocate at their own expense.

 

  • Location: Grande Prairie, AB (local candidates preferred)
  • Shift: 9 days on / 5 days off – 10-hour shifts
  • Employment Type: Full-time, Company Benefits
  • Work Arrangement: Remote field work and base work as well
  • Averaging Agreement: In place under Alberta Employment Standards
 

Requirements &  Qualifications:

What You’ll Need:

  • 3+ years in oil and gas field operations (LNG/basic cryogenic knowledge is an asset)
  • Familiarity with frac/water heating or drilling rig environments
  • Safety mindset
  • Class 1 Driver is considered an asset
    • Clean driving record, off road driving experience
  • Previous field coordination experience is an asset
  • Hours of Service Training (will be provided to successful candidate)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting
  • Experience in 24/7 operations
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset
  • Willingness to learn and adapt
  • Required (or willingness to obtain) H2S Alive, First Aid, CSO, GODI
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to changing conditions
  • Strong communication skills and team first attitude
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in all weather conditions
 

What You’ll Do

  • Operate and maintain LNG equipment in the field
  • Support equipment installations, removals, and routine maintenance
  • Assist with LNG truck loading and offloading at remote sites
  • Coordinate with field personnel, service providers, and customers to ensure seamless delivery and operations
  • Train third-party personnel on Cryopeak equipment and enforce safety protocols
  • Complete and submit field documentation and reports accurately and on time
  • Identify and report safety issues, incidents, or operational gaps
  • Follow all policies under Cryopeak’s Quality and Safety Management Systems
  • Respond to on-site concerns or emergencies in coordination with field leadership

Are you a practical, solutions-focused engineer with a passion for safe, reliable LNG systems? We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the design, development, and engineering execution of new and existing LNG and other gas systems for Cryopeak Energy Solutions. 

 

About the Role:

The Project Engineer will be based in Calgary, AB or Richmond, BC, reporting to the Director, Innovation & Technology. This role is responsible for the design, development, and engineering execution of new and existing LNG systems, as well as technical troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives that support safe, reliable operations.

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

What You’ll Need:

  • Design and deliver LNG and other gas systems (concept through commissioning).
  • Create/review engineering deliverables: drawings, specifications, calculations, and test/commissioning plans.
  • Support procurement by defining scope and technical requirements for vendors/contractors.
  • Coordinate with operations, clients, and third parties during planning and execution.
  • Participate in design reviews and risk assessments (e.g., HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA).
  • Provide technical troubleshooting support and drive continuous improvement.
 

What You’ll Do

  • P.Eng. is preferred.
  • PMP is an asset.
  • Engineering background with LNG or natural-gas system design experience (process design/controls).
  • Strong understanding of equipment design principles and operating practices.
  • Safety-first mindset; familiarity with LNG handling requirements and PPE.
  • Clear communicator who works well with operations, vendors, and customers.
  • Organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

We’re hiring a working Maintenance Lead for our Grande Prairie operations—an experienced Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic who enjoys hands-on work, diagnosing issues, and supporting field operations while helping shape the maintenance function as our hub grows.

 

As the Maintenance Lead- Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will report to the Grande Prairie Field Services Manager and be based out of Grande Prairie, AB operations base. This is a Monday–Friday position with occasional weekend coverage as required. This is a working lead role that blends hands-on mechanical work with broader maintenance responsibilities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build, shape, and grow the maintenance function within the Grande Prairie hub, making the role their own as the operation
continues to expand.

 

Position: Maintenance Lead (Working Lead – Red Seal HD Mechanic)
Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday)
Compensation: $50-60/hr, depending on experience | On-call Pay when applicable
Candidates must reside in or can relocate to: Grande Prairie, AB**

 

**Please note that relocation to Grande Prairie is a mandatory condition of employment.

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

Hands on Mechanical Work:

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on fleet and equipment
  • Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues
  • Complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and ensure trailers are purged before entering the shop following company procedures
  • Test drive vehicles to verify performance
  • Maintain tools and ensure a clean, safe, organized work area
  • Understanding of industry regulatory requirements
 

Maintenance Lead

  • Act as primary maintenance resource for the GP base
  • Support maintenance planning, prioritization, and workflow
  • Maintain accurate repair records and parts inventory
  • Utilize the Limble CMMS to track work orders, document maintenance activities, and update asset records
  • Line up third-party vendors and service providers as required
  • Contribute to maintaining and auditing unit files to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
  • Report safety issues, incidents, or quality gaps promptly
  • Support plant operations and travel to sites as required
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, internal customers and field teams
  • CDL/Class 1 License preferred
  • CVI certification preferred
  • High School Diploma
 

Qualifications Required:

  • Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to spot issues early
  • Proficiency with MS Office and basic computer applications
 

Preferred Qualifications (Assets):

  • CDL/Class 1 License
  • CVI certification
  • Experience with cryogenic equipment (training provided)
  • Experience with cryogenic vessels, air/electrical actuators
  • Working knowledge of Limble CMMS, or a willingness to learn and work within our maintenance management system

Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual with a passion for supply chain efficiency? We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Junior Buyer/Expeditor to support day-to-day purchasing and procurement operations for our team in Richmond, BC. This role ensures company -wide purchasing functions across Projects, Operations and Corporate teams, ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment and services.  

 

This position is essential in ensuring efficient procurement processes, including the timely issuance of purchase orders, proactive monitoring and expediting of orders, and on-time delivery of materials to support company operations.

 

The Junior Buyer/Expeditor will be based in Richmond, BC, reporting to the Director, Corporate Services supporting purchasing management functions – ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment and services for the organization.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline (Business Administration, Commerce, or Economics), with knowledge of procurement, logistics, and supply chain operations within a technical/engineering environment.
  • A degree of technical aptitude and familiarity with various materials, fabrication processes and service requirements.
  • Elementary knowledge of preservation and packaging procedures
  • Familiarity with multi-discipline coordination
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

What you’ll do:

  • Assist in the procurement process by obtaining quotes, issuing purchase orders, and following up on deliveries
  • Expediting orders, ensuring deliveries are made on time, and resolving any issues with suppliers
  • Ensure that the data for reporting is complete and accurate
  • Coordinate information relating to packing lists, shipping releases and delivery documentation including any documentation required for import/export purposes
  • Interface with team members regarding expediting issues
  • Coordinate quality surveillance and inspection activities
  • Monitor supplier/vendor engineering, documentation, fabrication and quality inspection schedules to ensure committed deadlines are maintained and pro-actively managed
  • Coordinate and support logistics activities to facilitate deliveries as per Incoterms conditions specified in purchase orders

  • Build and maintain detailed project plans, proactively managing changes, risks, and competing priorities.

  • 8+ years experience in project management of LNG related facilities and equipment.
  • Proven experience in LNG project development with the ability to lead multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders with confidence.
  • Strong interpersonal, client-facing, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using project tracking or project management tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience. P.Eng status in Canada is highly desirable.
  • PMP designation is considered an asset.
  • A collaborative, safety-first mindset and a professional approach to working with teams, clients, and vendors.
