Job Description:
Reporting to Cryopeak Operations Management, the Operations Technician will support both the Dawson Creek LNG Plant, and will support daily operational activities including general labour, loading terminal operations, and maintenance or repair of equipment. This role will work closely with a team of operators and engineers to optimize production, maintain safety standards, and minimize downtime. Attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a commitment to safety are essential in this role.
Position: Operations Technician | Monday-Friday (Full-Time)
Compensation: $50,000 – $65,000 (Depending on experience)
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Experience and Proficiencies:
- Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry is an asset.
- Proficiency with computers including MSOffice applications is preferred.
- Certifications:
- High School Diploma
- Recently graduated from a trade school or similar
- Class 5 Drivers License
- Location: Applicants residing in the Fort Nelson region are preferred. Candidates outside the region must be willing to relocate at their own expense.
- Responsibilities:
- Ensures company policy is always followed in accordance with the Company ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System.
- Responsible to report any safety issues, incidents, or gaps in the Quality Management System.
- Responsible for supporting plant staff and transport ops staff with day-to-day activities as required.
- Assists in scheduled maintenance work.
- Attend truck loading operations and assist where required.
- Carry out daily operation routines and upkeep of the gas plant.
- Assist with routine repairs.
- Assist with troubleshooting.
- Assist in record keeping.
- Assist in major mechanical maintenance of the plant as required.
- Assist in Emergency Response and Environmental awareness.
- Takes pride in maintaining site upkeep and appearance.
- Assist in receiving and storing parts and inventory.
- General Qualifications:
- Mechanically inclined.
- Detail oriented, able to spot errors, and able to learn quickly.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Collaborative team player.
- Clean criminal record.
- Comfortable and enjoys working outdoors, indoors and in all weather.
