Job Description:
Cryopeak is looking for an experienced Full-Time driver to haul LNG from BC & AB to different mines and communities in Northern BC, Yukon & Northwest Territories & project locations, across Canada as required. Operating from a base in Northern, BC and Alberta, Cryopeak is operating state of the art equipment and is offering a competitive compensation package. Cryopeak is committed to efficiency, safety and compliance and is looking for drivers that can help fulfill this mandate.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Driving Experience: Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of driving experience with semi-trailers, including handling dangerous goods.
- Licenses & Certifications: Holds a valid Class 1 Driver’s License, with a clean driving record and driver’s abstract. Proficient in operating electronic equipment and software, including E-Logs and Microsoft 365 Applications. Recent TDG certification is preferred, along with safety tickets including First Aid and WHMIS.
- LNG Hauling: Previous experience in hauling LNG is highly advantageous.
- Responsibilities:
- Transporting, loading and unloading LNG. Proficient in conducting pre- and post-trip inspections.
- maintaining electronic logs and completing all necessary paperwork.
- Ensuring tools and equipment meet required standards.
- Adhere to Hours of Service and Transport Regulations at all times.
- Actively participates in incident reporting, near-miss and risk assessments, while identifying and mitigating safety hazards
- Must be prepared for multi-day trips to remote locations, capable of working in extreme weather conditions.
- Willing and able to undergo and pass industry-required drug and alcohol screening.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and haul dangerous goods under a multijurisdictional fleet.
- Safety Focus & Awareness: Demonstrates a professional approach to safety and transportation, adhering strictly to all traffic regulations. Proficient in driving in remote, cold, and extreme northern weather conditions. Capable of chaining tires when necessary.
