CEO and Founder
Calum is CEO of Cryopeak and has held leadership positions in the LNG shipping and small scale LNG industry for over 20 years. Most of this time has been in the small scale LNG industry leading Cryopeak’s development and business activities in Canada and North America. Calum worked in the international shipping industry with Teekay Shipping for over 10 years. In his last role as Vice President, Innovation and Technology Calum was responsible for identifying new business opportunities and technologies which could be deployed across the fleet. Other areas of expertise involved establishing an LNG bunkering initiatives, as well as the development of projects using LNG as a fuel such as floating storage and regas projects.
Calum is a Professional Engineer and holds a Masters of Business and Administration from the University of British Columbia. Calum lives in Vancouver, British Columbia and he is passionate about developing new solutions within Cryopeak which enable our customers achieve a zero carbon future.
Vice President, Business Development
Shane is an accomplished executive, with over 15 years of business development experience. Prior to Cryopeak, Shane led the Canadian business development efforts for Certarus Ltd, a North American leader in providing alternative low carbon energy solutions to the oil & gas, mining, commercial and industrial markets. Earlier in his career he spent 9 years in the medical device industry in various sales leadership, management, and marketing roles across Western Canada while working for Medtronic and BD Canada.
Shane holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia, a double degree in International Business from Hogeschool Zeeland University, and completed the University of Oxford Executive Program.
VP Finance & Accounting
Hardeep is a Chartered Professional Accountant with several years of experience in financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, both direct and indirect taxation and ERP system implementation.
He most recently held a management position at Houle Electric Limited where he led and oversaw more than 10 staff members responsible for the day to day accounting. In addition, he worked closely with operational management teams to help develop, deliver forecasts, and budget to assess the current and future state of the organization. Hardeep was also heavily involved in implementing and transitioning to a large scale ERP, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
Prior to this, he worked as the Assistant Controller for Waste Connections (TSX: WCN, NYSE: WCN) where he mainly specialized in building forecasts, budgets and proformas for RFPs. Hardeep began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers specializing in audit and assurance.
He also serves as the Treasurer to Kids Up Front Foundation where he provides financial and strategic guidance.
VP, Operations & Projects
Robert is a project management professional with extensive experience in the LNG small scale and marine oil and gas industries. He has a comprehensive understanding of risk management, safety management systems and operations management. His analytical capabilities and diverse skill base have been forged over 10 years working in both large and small capital projects often in challenging environments.
Previous to Cryopeak he managed complex projects ranging between $50 million and $1.5 billion dollars whilst at Teekay Shipping. As a project services manager at Teekay Robert’s responsibilities included developing a new management system for all company projects, leading a project control team for a floating storage and offloading conversion project, oversaw the construction of a shipyard building contract in China ensuring project task where completed safely and efficiently.
Robert is a designated project management professional (PMP) from the Project Management Instute and trained in the Incident Command System – ICS300, Risk Management through ESI International, ISO9001:2008 as a Lead Auditor through the British Standards Institute and Risk Management and Incident Investigation through Lloyd’s Register.
Director, Corporate Services
Kristine is a Results-driven leader with 20+ years across diverse disciplines, including supply chain management, strategic procurement, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance. Known for an inclusive leadership style that fosters collaboration and aligns teams with company goals for sustainable growth. Prior to joining Cryopeak, Kristine spent 9 years with Teekay Corporation leading the contracts department and procurement. Building on a foundation as a Contracts & Procurement Specialist, her expertise now spans Corporate Services, HR, Insurance, Compliance, and Quality. Kristine brings dedication, enthusiasm, and a results-focused approach, committed to achieving team and company success.
Regional Operations Manager
Mike has over 15 years of experience in fleet logistics and field service operations. He has a long and proven track record of building teams from the ground up and managing them safely and efficiently. In his role he oversees daily operations and is critical in coordinating and managing all transportation logistics and ensuring timely delivery to optimize production processes. Prior to joining Cryopeak, Mike worked with leading energy services firms such as Ferus Natural Gas Fuels and Ferus Inc.
Field Services Manager
Nathan has extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry and field operations. In his role he oversees all field operations, managing Cryopeak’s field services team while ensuring safety compliance and optimizing resource allocation. With over 15 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry Nathan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise which is crucial to maintaining operational efficiency and minimizing downtime. Prior to joining Cryopeak, Nathan worked with leading energy services firms such as Ferus Natural Gas Fuels, Step Energy Services, and GasFrac Energy Services.
Project Manager
Darragh has been involved in all aspects of the supply chain and transportation processes. From Dispatching, hand loading trailers to meeting deadlines or mechanical troubleshooting trucks and trailers in order for customer deliveries to be delivered safely and on time. Darragh has a wealth of experience in building teams and bringing people together having managed a fleet of nearly 200 assets which operated throughout Europe where he learned all the different facets of the transportation business in becoming a transportation manager for an Irish logistics company.
Transportation presents a number of new challenges everyday and Darragh’s solution driven focus enables options to logistic obstacles which results in high rates of customer satisfaction for Cryopeak’s clients. Darragh‘s adaptability and desire for growth are key success characteristics in a transportation industry that is constantly evolving and changing.
Attending Limerick Institute of Technology to study Transportation Management led Darragh to his career in Transportation and Logistics, where he continues to prosper and grow as a leader in the Cryogenic transportation industry.
Darragh still maintains that his biggest logistical challenge to date is trying “get all his friends in the same room at one time” and having travelled through some of the more remote parts of the world has realized that it often takes some outside the box thinking to deliver services to the most remote areas. Darragh’s constant vision and leadership enables Cryopeak to deliver LNG to remote mining, industrial, remote community locations safely and on time.
Project Engineer
Alto is Cryopeak’s lead LNG electrical and technical designer for LNG storage and vaporization systems. Alto brings a strength of understanding in the electrical and control aspects for Cryopeak’s projects.
His experience in LNG projects includes procurement for engineering services, managing electrical panel design and construction, advising on electrical requirements and control systems, designing and optimizing vaporization processes, managing electrical component procurement and leading the electrical requirements and set up for Cryopeak’s LNG mobile applications. Alto’s previous experience in heat exchanger optimization is extremely relevant in the LNG industry and has proven to be a great asset in the delivery of vaporization services for Cryopeak’s customers.
Previous to Cryopeak Alto worked in the product transformation sector advising on optimization of machine control and PLC programming. His education includes electrical and computer engineering technology, aircraft maintenance engineering at BCIT and a CAD diploma from Brighton College.
