Managing Partner, BP Energy Partners
Mr. Watzky is a founder and Managing Partner of BP Energy Partners and its affiliates. He is based in New York.
Mr. Watzky has over 20 years of private equity experience in energy sector investments that include oil and gas, merchant power, oil and gas services and unconventional oil and gas. As a Managing Partner of BP Energy Partners, Mr. Watzky is responsible for co-managing investment activities of BP Energy Partners and its affiliates, including deal sourcing, leading negotiations, structuring and executing transactions, and working closely with management teams while serving as a board member of portfolio companies.
Prior to founding BP Energy Partners, from 2002 through September 2012, Mr. Watzky was a Partner at MatlinPatterson, a private equity investment firm. From 1997 to 2002, Mr. Watzky was a Director at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB). Prior to CSFB, he was a Partner at the Serfimex Group in Mexico City. He began his career as a CPA at KPMG.
He received a B.S. in Accounting from the State University of New York- Albany in Albany, New York.
Managing Director, The Energy & Minerals Group
Mr. Ball is a Managing Director and a Member of the Investment Committee for the Energy & Minerals Group (EMG). Prior to joining EMG in October 2007, Mr. Ball served as Director in the Investment Banking Group at Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC from 2000 to 2007. While at Credit Suisse, Mr. Ball served as a senior officer responsible for the energy Master Limited Partnership sector. From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Ball worked in the Investment Banking Group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corporation. Mr. Ball has completed over $56 billion of mergers and acquisitions and capital markets financing transactions during his career in the energy and minerals sectors.
Mr. Ball currently serves as a director of Ascent Resources, LLC, Eagle LNG Partners, LLC, Ferus, Inc., Ferus Natural Gas Fuels GP, LLC, Ferus Natural Gas Fuels Inc., Nunavut Iron Ore, Inc., and as an observer on the Board of MarkWest Utica EMG, LLC. Mr. Ball also serves as Interim Chief Executive Officer of Eagle LNG Partners, LLC.
Mr. Ball graduated with Honors from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School with a BS in Economics with dual concentrations in Finance and Accounting in 1996.
President, Ferus Inc.
Tyler Dahlseide is a member of the board of directors for Cryopeak Energy Solutions and is the President of Ferus Inc. In this role, Tyler is responsible for Ferus’ North American Carbon Dioxide and Nitrogen business. Tyler has been with the company since 2007 serving in a variety of business development, operations, and executive roles. Tyler holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta. Tyler is the current Chairman of Enserva, serves on the board of Cryopeak Energy Solutions, and is an active member of YPO Alberta.
CEO, Cryopeak Energy Solutions
Calum has worked in senior management positions in the marine industry for over 15 years and was with Teekay Shipping for 10 years. In his role as Vice President, Innovation and Technology based in Vancouver, Calum was responsible for identifying and developing new business areas for Teekay. Key areas of work included establishing an LNG bunkering project, development of LNG solutions such as FSRU, FLNG and small volume LNG and gas to wire.
Previous to this Calum held senior positions in Teekay responsible for global procurement across the Teekay Group, asset management, and project management with Teekay’s new building program. As project manager in South Korea, Calum managed Teekay’s LNG newbuilding projects with a project value in excess of B$1.5.
Prior to joining Teekay, Calum worked with AP Moller Maersk in Offshore conversion projects and new building projects. Calum has a degree in Naval Architecture from Newcastle, a Professional Engineer designation, as well as a Master of Business and Administration from the University of British Columbia.
