Job Description: Reporting to Cryopeak Operations Management, the Field Technician is part of our LNG operations team in Grande Prairie, AB. This position will support both the LNG equipment and LNG oil field operations, and any additional operational day to day activities. You will bring a strong work ethic and team spirit to support daily operational activities including general labour, loading terminal operations, and maintenance or repair of equipment. This role will require a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and will be responsible for performing physically demanding tasks to support various operations within the company.
Position: Field Technician | Shift Rotation (Day/Night Shift)
Compensation: $85,000-$105,000
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Experience and Proficiencies:
- 3 years of Oil and Gas experience.
- frac/water heating and drilling rig experience.
- Previous supervisory/operational experience is an asset.
- Basic understanding of cryogenics.
- Off-road driving experience.
Certifications:
- Class 1 license is considered an asset.
- First Aid, H2S Alive, CSO, and GODI required (training provided)
Location: Applicants residing in the Grande Prairie region are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure company policy is always followed and in accordance with the company Quality & Safety Management System.
- Responsible for reporting any safety issues, incidents or gaps in the company policies.
- Daily coordination with logistics of Transport and product deliveries to customer locations.
- Establish & coordinate product requirements with Field Consultants & service company personnel.
- Set up and dismantle equipment on customer sites.
- Educate non-Cryopeak personnel on Cryopeak equipment operating procedures and ensure safety policies are always followed.
- Maintain strong working relations with customers and service company field personnel.
- Work with customer field representative or service personnel to resolve on site concerns.
- Maintain field documentation & paperwork and provide to dispatch office.
- Coordinate accident response plans in the field.
- Operate LNG equipment on customer locations.
General Qualifications:
- Mechanically inclined.
- Detail oriented, able to spot errors, and able to learn quickly.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Collaborative team player.
- Comfortable and enjoys working outdoors, indoors and in all weather.
- Basic computer skills.
