Job Description:
The HSE Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. This includes implementing safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations. This role requires strong knowledge of HSE regulations, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members at all levels. The successful candidate will be working closely with operations, maintenance, and other departments to promote a culture of safety excellence.
Position: HSE Coordinator | Full-time (Monday – Friday)
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Experience and Proficiencies:
- 2+ years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in the oil and gas or energy sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications:
- CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) is an asset.
- Location: Applicants residing in the Calgary region are preferred.
- Ability to travel to customer sites if required.
- Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and recommend mitigation measures.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and document findings and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, training, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Canadian regulations (e.g. OHS, COR, TDG etc.)Serve as the point of contact for regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify potential risks and create mitigation strategies.
- Communicate HSE information to employees, contractors, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports

- Strong knowledge of Canadian HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.

- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for incident investigation and risk assessment.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
